Changing the way we shop.

Sabrina Morgan was a passionate shopper with an environmental and societal conscience. Now, she’s all of those things, and the clever creator of AEGLESTORE, – ethical shopping online.

Sabrina has designed AEGLESTORE to offer op shopping to the savvy and conscious shopper, making it a convenient and affordable way for people interested in new clothing, without the load of fast fashion.

Her business model offers all profits to Share the Dignity, an Australian charity supporting disadvantaged women.

It’s innovation like this that is changing the way we consume, the way we think and with our support, will change the way our world works – in the best possible way. Read on to hear a little more of Sabrina’s story…

The AEGLESTORE journey began in late 2016. I decided to stop buying new clothes altogether and shop only secondhand! This was not as easy as I had originally anticipated. Op shops lack the curation, sorting and opening hours of traditional outlets. When having to choose between brunch with the gals or trawling an op shop for work clothes of a Saturday morning, brunch always wins!

I realised what I needed was the convenience of online shopping combined with the societal and environmental benefits of op-shopping. Naturally, I googled it. All I could find were second hand designer clothing stores (out of my millennial budget) or hundreds of Gumtree and eBay listings from different people and places (still inconvenient).

Just like that the idea for AEGLESTORE was born – a place where people can access affordable, quality, second hand clothes without having to give up the online shopping experience.

AEGLESTORE was designed to give existing op-shop lovers an easier way to do their thing, whilst also encouraging new interest in this way of life by making it possible for people to make the switch without changing their shopping habits – just the URL they’re using!

We went live on December 26th, and I am very proud of the end result! The process has been trying, but a whole lot of fun. I hope that by providing an alternative to fast fashion and donating all profits to Share The Dignity, a charity for disadvantaged Australian women, AEGLESTORE will be able to make a positive impact on the environment and society, as well as inspire more people to embrace the secondhand life.
