Providing an opportunity for change with our young women

SISTER2sister began 14 years ago, when music teacher Jessica Brown saw the effects of disadvantaged young women at school.

“Trauma dramatically impacts a child’s ability to learn and commonly presents itself as behavioural difficulties in the classroom. It broke my heart to see misunderstood students disengaging from school and falling through the cracks just because of their circumstances.” Jessica Brown, SISTER2sister.

SISTER2sister has been operating a year long, early intervention program for young women with measurable results. The program pairs each girl in the program with an adult female mentor for advice, support and guidance. The mentors are taken through a two day workshop to help facilitate this mentoring. There are monthly workshops focusing on life skills like resilience, self esteem and health, as well as once in a lifetime opportunities to challenge themselves and to step outside their comfort zone.

It’s grassroots organisations like SISTER2sister that can help to make real change to the lives of young women, who otherwise may succumb to their circumstances. For this reason, Whollygrail are so, so proud to support SISTER2sister with our events, like the Cool, Calm and Collected Series. Designed as a relaxing and fun way to learn strategies to manage anxiety and overwhelm, enjoy yummy good mood food and all the good stuff to take home.

It's super simple. By bringing a friend to any of our events, Whollygrail contributes funds directly to the SISTER2sister program. Personal donations may be made by contacting SISTER2sister directly through
